Values Light the Way
Mini Weekend Workshop
“There are no guarantees in the arena. We will struggle. We will even fail. There will be darkness. But if we are clear about the values that guide us in our efforts to show up and be seen, we will always be able to find the light. We will know what it means to live brave.” -Brené Brown
What are values anyway? It’s a word that gets thrown around a lot, but it’s rare that we sit down and really get clear on what they mean to us. Brené Brown’s definition is simple, “A value is a way of being or believing that you hold most important.” According to her research getting clear on our values is essential to wholehearted living and really showing up in your life.
Without taking time to gain clarity on our values, we might not realize there’s a gap between what we actually believe to be important and want in our lives with what we’re actually doing. Really defining your values can also help guide you as you make decisions in your life, both big and small.
I’ve combined creative methods that I’ve found most helpful to gain clarity of values and begin the work of integrating them into your heart & body.
Far beyond filling out worksheets, we’ll engage in meditative breathing and movement to fully engage our minds and bodies in this powerful work. We’ll use the Rising Strong™ Values work to guide each participant to choose their core values and use thoughtful writing prompts to explore what they really mean in their lives.

ABOUT THE DARING WAY™
The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
